Safety in the workplace is an important component in the fabric of industry. The Ashland Area Safety Council provides training that can be beneficial to your employees, management staff, and the success of your business. Here is what you can expect to receive by participating.

By participating in Safety Council you will consistently receive the best safety training from experts all over the state of Ohio.
Lower Workers Comp Costs
The BWC supports those that take an extra step to improve workplace safety allowing up to 3% off Workers Comp.
Increased Workplace Safety
The goal of Safety Council is to continually educate and ultimately create a safer work environment.

How It Works
Participating in our Safety Council opens the door for huge BWC savings, top quality safety training, and ultimately a safer workplace. The BWC encourages employers to constantly keep safety top of mind! They will give rebates for actively participating in a Safety Council program.
To qualify for a BWC rebate, you must:
- Enroll in the Safety Council by July 31st.
- Attend a minimum of 10 safety trainings throughout the year
- Stay current with your BWC premiums / complete your annual “True-Up”
2024-25 Class Details & Resources
The Ashland Area Safety Council is a program of the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce and is run in cooperation with the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation Division of Safety & Hygiene.
For the 2024-25 Program Year, we are offering 11 classes (we will offer two bonus meetings – watch here for any additional meeting info).
