Kick off your Friday with Rise & Grind at the Professional Building with the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Ashland County! We’re bringing together local young professionals for a morning filled with good coffee, delicious pastries, meaningful conversations, and community.

AYP Friendsgiving - November 19, 2026
Please join us on Thursday, November 19th from 5:30-7:30pm for our beloved AYP Friendsgiving!!
We are asking that attendees bring a food item to share (whether home-cooked or store bought). If you plan to attend, please use this link to indicate what food item you're bringing to share with the group.
Due to last year's success, we will also be featuring a White Elephant Gift Exchange! We are asking that those who wish to participate bring a wrapped gift of approximately $20 value.

Volunteer for Holiday Happenings - Dec 3, 2026
The United Way of Ashland County is hosting their 15th Annual Holiday Happenings event on Thursday, December 3rd at the AU Upper Convocation Center. For this event, we are in need of volunteers to help run the various activities and auction tables from approximately 5:00-9:30pm. Volunteers will receive a free dinner buffet and the option to participate in the activities throughout the night. Interested? 🏡 Step back in time at this historic general store, established in 1840, and experience a little piece of Ohio’s past. From delicious pizza and deli sandwiches to hand-dipped ice cream, unique gifts, and nostalgic candy, there’s something for everyone!

AYP Mentorship Program 2027 - January 21, 2027
Could you benefit from having coffee, lunch, or simply meeting with a community leader you admire for a few one-on-one chats throughout the year?
In January, AYP will be hosting a speed-networking event featuring various community leaders. At the end of the event, AYPs and community leaders will be asked to list a few names of those they connected with during the speed networking portion. In confidence, these lists will be used to match mentors with mentees. Once a mentorship match is made, we are asking that you meet with your mentor/mentee three (3) times over the course of 12 months. During these meetings, you are free to discuss any personal or professional topics of choice.
Our mentorship kickoff meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 21st at 12pm in the Brethren Care Village Wellness & Community Room. In exchange for your time, we will be serving lunch to all who attend. Please plan to stay for approximately two (2) hours.
